Future Computers is involved with a number of local companies (too many to mention) that rely on us to deliver complex IT solutions to enhance and grow their businesses. Below are a few of examples of the types of customers we have service contracts with.

Trailfinders Group

Hinterland Aviation specialises in personalised air charters throughout Australia and the South Pacific. With over 20 years experience they are one of North Queensland's most experienced charter companies. The standard and reliability of the fleet is enhanced with the fleet being maintained by Hinterland Aero Engineering.

As part of the Trailfinders Group these divisions have a strong customer service ethic backed by an IT system that they know they can rely on. The Trailfinders Group fits into the SMB market segment but has all the attributes of an enterprise site with multiple locations, mixed networks and specific system requirements due to the aviation industry and the reporting required.

Future Computers have been providing IT services and equipment to the Trailfinders Group for over 7 years and are still enjoying a fruitful partnership. From implementing fully secure user policies to intranet services we have tailored the site to suite their growth.

Precruitment

Precruitment is another company that has grown with Future Computers over the past 9 years. Since opening in 1998, Precruitment has been a market leader in Queensland for providing permanent, temporary and contracting recruitment and outplacement services to business and local, state and federal government. They provide clients and candidates with a recruitment partnership that has a strong brand name and an enviable reputation.

Precruitment is a proud Queenslander starting with offices in Cairns then expanding out to Townsville, Gladstone and Brisbane. Future has been there every step of the way, providing complex data services and a planned roll out to each of the offices. This has ensured a smooth transition with an uninterrupted business flow.

Although Future is primarily Cairns based Precruitment only trusts Future to service their sites and fly our technicians around the state to achieve this.

Jessup and Partners

Jessup and Partners pride themselves on being a regionally based specialty practice, staffed by dedicated people and servicing the regional Queensland area. They are the only specialist insolvency practice with offices in both Townsville and Cairns and, in addition, they are the largest insolvency practice North of Brisbane.

Although insolvency is a core discipline of their practice, they offer expert service in audit, assurance (including business reviews for prospective purchasers, business valuations and due diligence reviews) and forensic accounting investigations and litigation support.

Future Computers has been involved with Jessup and Partners since 1999, a large part of their IT strategy was to be able to operate both branches seamlessly should a disaster occur or the link between the offices go down. This was achieved with an optimised WAN solution between the branches coupled with fully synchronised redundancy services at each end point to ensure the network remains protected at all times.

Education Sector

Future Computers has been involved in the education sector for over 10 years now and in that time we have been involved in a number of large school rollouts. The number of PC's in schools has gone from the old 25 user PC labs to in most cases 100's of users. The Queensland education department is working towards having at least 1 PC per 5 users.

James Cook University

JCU has been a long term client of Future Computers. We supply the Cairns faculty with education priced laptops to salary package, along with student discounts on various laptop models.

We work with the IT department to ensure we are providing the best repair services should there be any problems.

Trinity Anglican School

Designing and implementing the Trinity Anglican School (TAS) notebook computer program was a major project in 1994. TAS was one of the first schools in Australia to implement a notebook computer program where the computers are integrated into the curriculum. This meant it had to be done right the first time. The programs success has since been mimicked nationally with other schools looking at TAS as the benchmark for their technology programs.

Future Computers assisted in the project which involved;

• network infrastructure
• loading of the School supplied Managed Operating Environment (MOE)
• asset identification
• delivery of 150+ notebook computers for students on an annual basis

After more than 12 years, the program continues to run successfully and grow every year.

Good Counsel College

Good Counsel College is another long term business partner of Future computers. Along with supply and installation of desktop computers, servers and various IT equipment the College has also embraced the Salary Sacrifice Laptop program for its teachers. Future has invested hours of research and discussion to fine tune this excellent program which is now available to all Education/Government employees.

Education Queensland

Prior to the EDPSA103 contract Future Computers was involved in education rollouts of between 100 and 300 PC's in schools across the region. Our roll was to supply and install new equipment then dispose of the decommissioned equipment. We were also a major provider of desktop computers and accessories to the Far North Queensland Institute of TAFE. This involved the manufacturing, supply and installation of our own Future White-box in quantities of 200+ per year over a five year period.

Although not on the contract anymore we are still viewed as one of the major IT suppliers in the region and education bodies will seek us out and purchase off contract to ensure the high standard of service to their school is still maintained.
